Introduce yourself

I wasn't sure if I should join or not... anyway I am here now.

My name is Kristy, everyone knows me on the net by that name or by Mystic.
I am an experianced fan-subber. Been in it 2 yrs now. I can pretty much do everything (aka - edit/time/typset/qc/encode), minus fluent translating. I can do basic/base translating at best from jap to eng.

I am currently an active member of both Baka No Sekai Fansubs and D-Royal Fansubs. I also sub my own personal work (usually with the added help of a translator), you can find my personal subbing projects here

However lately, my obsession has turned to an ikemen actor not in the johnnys/d-boys world. Sato Takeru<3 so I was tempted to create a new fansub group just for him, until I spotted this group.

Though I have not worked on a drama series, I have taken on HUGE projects (aka the entire Kanjani8 47 DVD + Extras). So I'm no stranger to dedication.
If anyone is willing to take me and my side-project suggestions I would love to become a staff member of this fansub group as well.

Hello.

I saw somewhere in an LJ post, that you wanted a someone who can translate from Chinese to English? I can help do that if you still need someone like that.

I'm from Singapore, female, 18, still studying, though I'm having my holidays now.

I've never done any subbing before, be it timing, encoding and basically just nothing, mostly due to the fact that I dont know Jap, but thinking of picking it up. I know Chinese cos I'm Chinese, and I saw that a Chinese translator is needed, so I decided to give it a shot. Maybe learn some stuff here and there as well.

That's about all I guess? Looking forward to a reply. If I'm not accepted... Let's just say I'm not high on hopes. ><

i just bought a book of 501 japanese verbs and hope to learn them all and all their tense forms in the next 7 weeks (thats when school ends). Sensei said at the beginning of this year i could skip to 3rd year (this is the one thing i brag about >.> gomen ne), so i'm sure i could be in 4th year now

I guess if you really enjoy what you study you can advance quicker It's good that you are so enthusiastic and hardworking ^^
